How consent works here.
We apply the stricter of two regimes depending on where you are, and when we cannot tell, we apply the stricter one.
- Opt-in in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Quebec, Brazil: no analytics or advertising cookie is set until you choose to allow it. "Reject all" sits next to "Accept all" on the first screen of the banner, with the same prominence.
- Opt-out everywhere else: analytics and advertising cookies may be set unless you opt out, and a browser sending a Global Privacy Control signal is treated as having opted out before anything loads.
- Unknown location: treated as opt-in. Misreading a visitor from a strict region as one from a permissive one is the worse mistake, so we make the other one.
Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie of our own, together with the version of this policy you saw and the region we detected. Once the banner goes live it is stored a second time by Termly, our consent manager, so the preference center can show it back to you. It is kept for at least 18 months, and asked again after six months. A Global Privacy Control signal takes precedence over a stored choice that says otherwise, in both regimes and whichever way the stored answer went.
The test we hold ourselves to is mechanical: after "Reject all", and under a Global Privacy Control signal, a capture of the page's network traffic shows no request to any analytics or advertising vendor.
Your privacy choices.
We do not sell personal information for money. When advertising cookies are set, the information they carry is "shared" for cross-context behavioral advertising as California law defines it, and you have the right to opt out of that at any time. This section is the opt-out.
- Send a Global Privacy Control signal. Turn it on in your browser or install a browser extension that sends it. We honor it everywhere, as an opt-out of sale and sharing, and in the opt-in regions as a refusal of analytics cookies too. Nothing loads; no cookie is set. This is the fastest way and it needs no account.
- Use the control in the footer. "Your Privacy Choices", at the bottom of every page, reopens the preference center where you can change any category. Withdrawing is the same single click as giving, which is the standard the law sets and a fair one.
- Refuse cookies in your browser. Blocking or clearing cookies for porchops.com removes every entry above except the strictly necessary ones.
- Email us. [email protected] with "opt out" in the subject. You may use an authorized agent; we will ask for enough to verify the request. We respond within the time the law gives us, usually 15 business days for an opt-out.
Opting out never costs you anything on porchops.com: the same pages, the same prices, the same product.
What we never do.
- Record a replay of your visit. Our analytics vendor supports it and it is switched off in our code.
- Load the Meta pixel on any page with embedded video.
- Identify you by name from your IP address or device. We do not use visitor de-anonymization services.
- Fingerprint your device beyond what security requires.
- Set an analytics or advertising cookie in an opt-in region before you have said yes, or anywhere after you have said no.
